Groundskeeper/Landscaper
Nature’s Way Resources is an organic Compost/Mulch facility with a supporting nursery. We use the static pile method of composting when processing our products. The most crucial part of the composting process is maintaining water moisture within our piles. We have 40 plus piles that need to be monitor at all times, piles have different water requirements throughout the process, and different ways to accomplish this. Due to our continual growth this is now a full-time position.
Description
In this position you will have three primary responsibilities: applying water on compost and mulch piles with soaker hoses (3/4” and 2” hoses), driving a farm tractor with a water trailer for dust control, and general upkeep of the facility which includes mowing, weed eating, maintaining our display beds.
Requirements
· Must be able to run small engines such as lawn mowers, weed eaters, backpack blowers, and trash pumps (water pumps)
· Landscaping experience preferred
· Experience with small farm tractors
· Experience with bumper tow trailers
· Must be able to apply water for dust control
· Must be able to lift 75 pounds
· Must have time management abilities
· Must be able to remove weeds from display beds and finished product piles (mulch, compost, and soil blends)
· Must be able to plant and mulch gardens
· Must be able to prune trees to keep the canopy raised.
· Must have boots, OSHA requirements
· Help with other task when necessary (stack pallets, traffic control, trash removal)
· Must keep work area clean
· Job is weather dependent
Job Type : Full Time 7:30-5:00 M-F Saturdays optional
Pay: $14.00-$16.00 per hour
