Job Title: Hardware Design Engineer Job Description The Hardware Design Engineer is responsible for supporting system integration through the design and troubleshooting of peripheral circuitry or digital interfaces for FPGA and/or micro-controller. Responsibilities + Design and troubleshoot peripheral circuitry or digital interfaces for FPGA or micro-controller. + Document the design with digital interface for system architecture and design specifications. + Provide proof of concept through simulations and/or bread or evaluation board on a case-by-case basis. + Support schematic capture and board layout on FPGA, microprocessors and their peripheral circuitry or digital interface. + Conduct post layout signal integrity simulations to provide proof of design on high-speed digital interfaces in or between modules. + Support system integration, system/acceptance test in digital interface function with troubleshooting and analysis. + Support test procedures and repair procedures for production. + Design to cost and maintain schedule for high-volume manufacturability. + Support qualification and reliability analysis and test. Essential Skills + Proficiency in EMMC and systems integration. + Experience with troubleshooting and transistor-transistor logic. + Ability to use oscilloscopes effectively. + Familiarity with digital interfaces such as TTL, LVTTL, CMOS, LVCMOS, PECL, LVPECL, LVDS. + Experience with digital oscilloscope, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and power supplies. + Understanding of DSP and wireless communication theory. Work Environment The position requires working onsite in an office/lab environment. The role involves collaborating with the Research and Development team to upgrade different products for the nation's largest telecommunications companies. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $135000.00/yr. This company provides health vision and dental benefits for its employees.
