Description We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Staff member to join our team in Pismo Beach, California. In this role, you will contribute to the accurate preparation and compliance of tax filings for a variety of clients, including individuals, businesses, and organizations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for entry-level or early-career individuals to expand their knowledge of tax regulations, accounting principles, and client service. Responsibilities: - Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for various entities, including individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts. - Ensure all filings comply with applicable tax regulations and meet required deadlines. - Analyze client data and financial records to identify tax-saving opportunities and ensure precision in reporting. - Communicate with clients to collect necessary documentation and provide updates on tax filing progress. - Collaborate with senior tax team members to resolve basic inquiries and address client concerns. - Participate in ongoing training to stay informed about changes in tax laws, codes, and regulations. - Support the team in delivering high-quality client service through timely and accurate work. - Gain exposure to diverse tax scenarios to enhance technical skills and expertise. - Assist in the review and application of tax software tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field; candidates pursuing CPA or similar certification are preferred. - Familiarity with tax software and accounting tools, such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. - Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines during high-pressure periods. - Basic understanding of accounting principles, tax codes, and regulatory compliance. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. - Internship or academic experience in taxation is advantageous. - Willingness to learn and develop technical skills in a structured and detail-focused environment.
