The Department of Surgery at a 305-bed non-profit Hospital in southwest Connecticut has an opening for an experienced BC/BE general surgeon with fellowship training in surgical critical care to join our Trauma Division.

About the Opportunity:

• Join a collegial team of 5 surgeons (3 trauma and 2 general)
• Opening due to increased demand for services.
• This position is 50% Trauma Surgery and 50% General Surgery
• Teaching surgery residents and medical students.
• Level II trauma center with over 800 trauma admissions. 
• The Hospital is a physician-led community academic medical center with comprehensive surgical services in all surgical subspecialties.
• The Department of Surgery has a free-standing surgical residency program
• Responsibilities include trauma care, surgical critical care, general surgery, acute care surgery, and teaching surgery residents and students.

• 31 days PTO
